What's a flipped lesson? It's a form of teaching that allows us to spend more time actually practicing skills in the classroom instead of lecturing. For this lesson, you are going to watch a video presentation which reviews the concept of Grabbers and Clinchers. (This is a review because you all learned about Grabbers and Clinchers last year.) Make sure you have a piece of paper to take some notes or jot down any questions you want to ask in class tomorrow.
The handout of the presentation is posted on the website.
Disclaimer: This is my very first flipped video. Be kind!

ReplyDeleteMy first comment was deleted; I don't know why. I thought the video was great! Good job Mrs. Powers

She took out the question and didn't want to confuse anyone, I believe.

That's really nice guys, but I'm kinda looking for more content-related comments. I do appreciate the shout though... ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhen I went onto the class calendar, I couldn't find the attachment for the powerpoint. Good video though!
ReplyDeleteLA Period 4: Nathan Tache (sorry the other post was deleted, I forgot to put my period)
Never mind, I found it.
ReplyDeleteI believe that opinion, personal experiences fit me the most because i have been to many places, from china to Europe, which gives me a variety of different perspectives to view the world. The grabber for riddle seems the hardest one for me. Great video! Please make more!

That was very good Mrs.Powers. I learned a lot about Grabbers and Clinchers. I think we should do more of these.

The video is very informative, but not too boring. I think that this video taught us more in 30 seconds than last year we learned the whole period. Some more flipped lessons to speed up the class wouldn't hurt.

ReplyDeleteGreat video, do we answer the question you said at the end though about what fits us best? It wasn't listed with the other so I wasn't sure. Don't want to miss anything!
ReplyDeleteLA 1: Rachel Gutner
Yes. Answer the questions at the end of the video.
DeleteThis was an excellent video! I would like to do more of these in the future!

This video was an amazing help to understand Grabbers and Clinchers. Now I have a better understanding about both of them.

This reminds me of what Mrs. Bernard did with grabbers and clinchers. However, I think this is much more memorable because it's a video.

Mrs. Bernard also did a lesson on Grabbers and Clinchers. However, this one is much more memorable because it was a video. Overall, I liked the video a lot. I hope your voice isn't worn out tomorrow!
