  1. Nice article, it gives you valuable information on how to improve your way of writing. I find it nice when you incorporate personal experiences to your work. Also “Have adventures “is a way of being original by adding humor and creativity to your writing. I sure learned a lot from this article.
    Great Advice!!!

  4. I found this article interesting and informative. It teaches writing in a fun and kind mood. It is can help almost everyone. It is in a clean format, but i do not understand some of the pictures. Some of it is irrelevant to the understanding of the article. I still find this article helpful. This is a great article that speaks to my generation with a comical tone.

  5. The article was great !It seemed like it was meant for future writers who were planning to write a novel or series , but it served well for kids , too.
I think Rule #2 was significant because you can't rush the thought process of inspiration.
I already learned something new in Rule #1,because all my teachers would say ,"Show ,don't tell!" But the author claimed ,"Show AND tell!"
No,there are no rules to writing, because writing takes you on a path , it controls you,not vice-versa.
I will write my answers in more detail when I hand in my response.
    P.S. I can't wait to use the "writer's block " excuse!

  7. I enjoyed reading this article. It taught me many ideas about literature and tools in writing. I especially liked rule number 2 about the subject finding you. As it said in the article, "Once your subject finds you, it’s like falling in love. It will be your constant companion." I think that statement was very beneficial to me. Some of the article was somewhat confusing, but I enjoyed it overall.

  8. This article was very beneficial to my writing structure. I learned many hints to writing a strong structured essay. I learned how to choose a topic more precisely. I especially liked rule two when it said "let you subject choose you." Some of the wording was confusing in the passage, but I enjoyed reading Colson Whitehead's rules for writing. This is a great article that gives examples on his tips to writing a good essay.

  10. To me the article is very helpful because it relates the "rules" to real life and makes them make more sense (at least to me). My favorite on is rule #2 because when writing it is SO TRUE! that whatever you are writing about comes to you and you can write an excellent essay that has meaning behind it.

  11. I thought this article was very informative in a funny kind of way. I loved the creative examples and quotes that they gave. However, there were some things in the passage that I didn't really understand. Overall, this article was pretty awesome and I learned a lot from it.

  13. I thought this article was a great way to better understand how to become a better writer in an entertaining way. I learned a lot of tips about writing in ways that were expressed with funny quotes and pictures. I especially liked rule number 7 when it talked about the writer's block and gave some funny examples. The article was a little bit hard to understand, but overall I thought that this was informative and entertaining.

  14. This article was not very helpful to me at all. I didn't really understand what it was stating for most of the article. The only topic that I grasped was rule number 2. The second rule states that you shouldn't search for a topic, but the topic should basically find you. Although I didn't gain valuable information from the article, it was actually very humorous. Hopefully the 10 rules that I don't understand will be covered in more detail in class.
